Communication

The State Transport Services are available round the clock all over Visakhapatnam. The main bus depot Namely RTC Complex releases all buses which connect the various places to/from in Vizag.

Canteen Services

There is an Indian Naval Canteen Service and Canteen Store Department in Vishakhapatnam. The Canteen Store Department is situated at a distance of 7 km from Naval Base. The Indian Naval Canteen is adjacent to Naval Base. The Indian Naval Canteen Service has its extension counter in Nausena Baugh and pick and pay counter inside the Naval Base.

Tuesday and Holiday- closed. The local units have Unit Run Canteens.

Amenities

Shopping Complex

There are Shopping Complex situated in Naval Park, Nausena Baugh and Vijay Nagar Colony, where all the day to day items are available. In addition to this there is a shopping complex in Naval Base, adjacent to Indian Naval Canteen Service. The main shopping centers are in Vishakhapatnam main city at Jagdamba Jn., RTC Complex and Gajuwaka. These markets are well equipped.

There is one Cooking Gas Agency at INS Satavahana, which gives prompt delivery to the residential area (with door delivery facility).

Bharat Gas Agency will be very shortly opening in 104 Area.

Ration Issue Stand

The RIS are existing in all the residential areas and establishments.

STD Booths

There are number of STD Booths at a stone throw distance from Naval Base and residential areas. Banking Facility There are No. of Branches of most of the Indian Banks and also Overseas Banks existing in Vishakhapatnam. An extension counter of Central bank of India functions at Nausena Baugh and Vijay Nagar Colony with the timings as follows:-

There is also a Naval Base branch of SBI at Naval Base and extension Counter in Naval Dockyard and Naval Park.

RECREATION

There is an officer Institute, Naval Auditorium namely Samudrika and Sailors Institutes near Naval Base. In addition to Samudrika there is an open air theatre in Nausena Baugh and also in Vijay Nagar Colony which is under construction. The cable TV and Star TV facility are available in all the residential areas. Institute and also in some of the establishment and ships. All residential areas have got well maintained Children Park.
